Tomorrow my sister is getting Confirmed. I want to ask for prayers, not necessarily for the ceremony, but for her anxiety. She has a difficult time sitting through Mass at our church without feeling a panic attack coming on so I really don’t want her to experience one at her Confirmation in a different church.

Sometimes I just want to run around and squeal nonstop about God’s love for us and how He shares it.

Proud of the North American Martyrs for their win! My church’s summer camp shirts are modelled after their jerseys since a seminarian from my parish plays for them. Now we can say we are dressed as champs!

Hmm, I post one thing about monks and get 8 new followers. Lovely! I will commence my strike after I clean the house (my sister’s Confirmation is tomorrow). Let’s just say my first photo will include Batman…

I’ve decided to head the start of Monk Spam. I love all the nun photos but I also love monks. I have a supply ready to go. Look out Tumblr.

Wow, my life is busy! I’m in charge of advertising educating on the diaconate ordination coming up, I have to write a parish-wide children’s program on God & money (we have A LOT of kids), and I emailed the Daughters of St. Paul (still haven’t heard back). I can’t believe I’ve only been doing this for a week! I absolutely love it.

Once spring hits, my deacon has his kayaks attached to his truck at all times. When I was walking out of church tonight, I saw him with the priest from a neighboring parish. Deacon was on the phone. “Well, I can’t make it home for dinner tonight…emergency kayak trip…you know, official church business.”

Well, finished my first day of my summer internship. You know it will be great when you get to go to Mass everyday and Deacon bounces into your office saying “Oh Emily, I’ve been planning for months what you’re going to do! It’s going to be exciting!”
